What can I say, I love Leeds!! This year was my fifth time working at Leeds International Tattoo Expo, and it's safe to say it's become one of my favourite weekends of the year. Mainly because it's just a massive meet-up where i get to see all my friends from around the UK and some from Europe.

I got to tattoo loads over the weekend, got to see some regular faces - like John who has been coming to me now for the last three years and has also made the trip down to London. He was the only booked tattoo I had for the weekend so all the rest were walk-ups which simply picked from my flash. In total I ended up tattooing 8 flash designs in total and had the pleasure of seeing 5 other tattoos healed walking around the convention (excluding john as he has only been tattooed by me and has loads of healed tattoo of mine haha)

One of the best things about coming back to the same convention year after year is seeing healed tattoos from previous years walk back through the door. Nothing beats seeing how a piece has settled in, and it's always a treat catching up with people I've tattooed before.

As always, I couldn't have done it without the help of Max and the company of Kamila Daisy, who were just the greatest all weekend, even when the odds were against us!! Them odds against us was me leaving my entire flash and photo book back at the studio in London which meant an early rise Saturday morning and off to Ryman's….

Then there was the Airbnb. Anyone who got tattooed by me that weekend will have already heard this story, so apologies for putting you through it again... we ended up in a one bed flat which had no openable windows, due to it being an old psychiatric ward, which in turn meant that we were sleeping in hotter conditions than the previous weeks insane heatwave. Anyhow, I managed to get half refunded so that was a brucey bonus!!

A massive thank you to everyone who got tattooed, came by the booth to say hello, or put up with my Airbnb stories. And a huge thank you to the ever-amazing Silvia and Katie, plus all the behind-the-scenes people working hard to make the convention run. It's no small job, and it shows every year.

Already can't wait for next year!!
